Early reactions to Man Of Steel screenings have been very positive, with some even calling Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel the best movie of the year.  Assuming that the film is a big hit for Warner Bros., a sequel is sure to follow.  According to Think Mcfly Think, WB is accelerating development on a direct sequel to Man Of Steel.  David S. Goyer, who wrote the script for the first film, is said to be on board for writing the next chapter.

As for the Justice League film, some rumblings claim that it’s still a priority, while others say that it’s now on hold.  Keep in mind that none of this has been officially confirmed, and could very well be false.  I feel like what DC needs to do is come up with a solid plan before they rush into a Justice League movie.  The reason it worked with Marvel is because of the Phase One movies building up to The Avengers.  Instead of trying to cash in and copy that success, DC should take it’s time, establish the characters with their own films and lead up to Justice League.  Otherwise it’ll probably be a rushed mess that gets rebooted in a couple years hoping to get it done right.

Man Of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne and Russell Crowe. The film is set to hit theaters June 14th, 2013.
