Disney plans to release a “Star Wars” movie every year

April 18, 2013

There’s been rumors of multiple standalone Star Wars movies to go along with the new trilogy, but today at CinemaCon in Las Vegas Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm announced that we will actually be getting a movie per year, after Star Wars: Episode VII hits in the Summer of 2015.

I’d personally love to have a STAR WARS movie every year, but I fear that means the films will be rushed and it’ll hurt the quality.  Let’s hope they already have a solid plan for such a big undertaking.  There’s been rumors of Yoda and Han Solo standalone films, but two that I’d really love to see would be Darth Maul and Boba Fett movies.  Their time onscreen didn’t last long, but they were awesome characters.
