Update: Now Alexander Skarsgard is rumored for “The Crow”

April 30, 2013

The casting rumors for this film are starting to get annoying.  Everyone from Bradley Cooper, James McAvoy, Tom Hiddleston, and now TRUE BLOOD’s Alexander Skarsgard have been rumored.  Personally I feel that the original “CROW” film is very well made and holds up just fine today.  It only came out 19 years ago and is fondly remembered.  A remake is NOT needed or welcomed by most.  This project has been in development for a long time, which usually isn’t a good sign.  Let’s hope this project eventually fades away before production.

From Deadline: “The guy to keep an eye on here is True Blood‘s Alexander Skarsgard, who is getting numerous offers since his plans to star for David Yates in Tarzan died on the vine when Warner Bros halted the project over budget. No formal offer yet, but it sounds to me like it’s Skarsgard’s role if he wants it, in the F. Javier Gutierrez-directed film series relaunch.”
