June 9, 2013

According to ERC Box Office, 20th Century Fox has set its live action FRANKENSTEIN adaptation for an October 17th, 2014 theatrical release date.

Paul McGuigan (Sherlock) is attached to direct from a script written by Chronicle‘s Max Landis, while Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is said to be locked down to play the hunchback Igor.

Shawn Levy was originally set to direct the adaptation, but dropped out due to budget/scheduling issues. The film is one of multiple Frankenstein productions in development, including Lionsgate‘s 2014 release I, Frankenstein.
