Quinto Says “Star Trek 3” Will Shoot Next Year With Abrams

July 14, 2013

Zachary Quinto, who plays Spock in the recent Star Trek film series, seems to be very confident that J.J Abrams will be coming back to direct STAR TREK 3.

Speaking with Buzzhub, the actor says, “Star Trek 3 should be filming, I suppose, next year. It’s going to be made a lot quicker than the last one. That’s the plan, although nothing is confirmed yet.”

Later in the interview, Quinto said he has no plans to reunite with J.J. Abrams for Star Wars: Episode VII.

He also adds that Abrams is planning to direct Star Trek 3, despite the fact that it could conflict with his Star Wars schedule.

Star Wars VII is said to begin shooting early next year. Is Abrams biting off more than he can chew in 2014?
