Plot Details For “The Conjuring” Sequel?

August 6, 2013

James Wan’s THE CONJURING surpassed $100 million at the box office here in the U.S. and is on its way to become the fourth highest grossing supernatural horror movie ever.

New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures are quickly working on a sequel, which would continue the adventures of Ed and Lorraine Warren, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga.

At the end of the movie our main characters receive a phone call about a haunted house in Long Island… The Amityville Horror. A nice nod to the fans, but that doesn’t mean that’s a setup to the sequel.

Aint it Cool News reports that screenwriters Carey and Chad Hayes are looking at an event that occurred in the late ’70s and centers on two sisters in Enfield, England, who were allegedly possessed.

Lorraine Warren said she personally saw them levitate and even saw one of the sisters dematerialize in front of her only to be found 20 minutes later stuffed into an oversized fuse box, contorted in such an unnatural way that they couldn’t have replicated it if they tried. The demon also supposedly spoke directly to Ed Warren on many occasions. Lorraine cited this as one of the most terrifying cases of her career.

The cool thing about the Warrens is that numerous stories could be told about each artifact in their collection consisting of items taken from paranormal cases.
