The “Fantastic Four” Reboot Casting News

October 10, 2013

Variety┬áreports that casting for 20th Century Fox‘s FANTASTIC FOUR reboot is picking up steam. The studio and director, Josh Trank, have auditioned Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) and Jack O’Connel (300: Rise of an Empire) for Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic. Miles Teller is still a possibility at this point for the role.

Meanwhile, Saoirse Ronan, Kate Mara, and Margot Robbie have auditioned for the role of Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman.

Michael B. Jordan (Chronicle) is still likely to play Johnny Storm/The Human Torch. It’d be an odd choice since Sue would be white and Johnny would be black. Were they adopted?

No word on who’ll be playing Ben Grimm/The Thing or the unknown villain.

A decision hasn’t been made yet because Fox “still needs a script to give an official greenlight”. Currently, screenwriter Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past) is fine-tuning the latest draft of the script.

The Fantastic Four reboot hits theaters on March 16th, 2015.

What do you think of the casting? I don’t really want to see the Fantastic Four as teenagers…
