Joe Cornish Possibly Directing “Star Trek 3”?

November 3, 2013

Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions currently don’t have a director lined up since J.J. Abrams is busy with Star Wars: Episode VII. So who is possibly going to replace Abrams?

Reports claim that the studio is eyeing Joe Cornish to direct the next sequel. Cornish made his feature directorial debut on Attack The Block, the saga of a group of British youths who stave off an alien invasion in their rough neighborhood. He also has co-writing credits on The Adventures of Tin Tin and Marvel‘s Ant-Man.

He’s already worked with Paramount on the novel adaptation Snow Crash, which he’s prepping to present to the studio.

Shooting is expected to being in the summer of 2014.
