Don Mancini Says All Questions Will Be Answered In Seventh “Chucky” Film

December 3, 2013

This past October Universal released Curse of Chucky, the sixth film in the Child’s Play franchise. Reviews for the latest sequel have been pretty positive and for good reason. I picked up my copy back in October and was pleasantly surprised. Although some of the CGI effects were cheap, the story really delivered in the last 30 minutes. It was a glorious return to Chucky’s roots. Oh, and stay after the credits!

The main question that fans have is about the fate of Alice at the end of the picture.

Don Mancini, who created the Child’s Play franchise and served as writer/director on the previous two installments, took to Twitter to reveal some breaking news: “To the fans who’ve asked questions about Alice and the end of #CurseofChucky: All will be answered in part 7!

It doesn’t necessarily mean Universal has given Child’s Play 7 the green-light, but it definitely reveals that Mancini has a plan for an upcoming sequel.

With remakes of every other big horror franchise, it is nice to see that Chucky is still going strong!
