“Legion” Spinoff Series “Dominion” Heading To Syfy

December 5, 2013

Syfy is developing a new fantasy drama DOMINION based on the 2010 feature film LEGION, reports Variety.

The series will be set in the futuristic year 25 A.E. and revolves around battles between good and evil angels in what used to be Las Vegas. The cast includes Christopher Egan, Tom Wisdom, Roxanne McKee, Alan Dale, Anthony Stewart Head and Luke Allen-Gale.

Vaun Wilmott wrote the pilot for Universal Cable Prods. and Bold FilmsLegion helmer and co-writer Scott Stewart directed the Dominion pilot in Cape Town, South Africa, where the series will be shot as well.

I find it odd that this film is being made into a series. I remember the trailers delivering more than the actual film did, which was a bummer. Its budget was $26 million and it grossed $40 million, so it did make a profit, but the reviews really hurt the film. However, the concept does scream Syfy channel.
