“X2” Screenwriters Back For Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Apocalypse”

December 19, 2013

X-Men: Days of Future Past doesn’t hit theaters until May 23rd, but director Bryan Singer is already teasing further development on X-Men: Apocalypse via Twitter. Check out the tweet and image below showing the director having a story session with screenwriter Simon Kinberg and X2 scribes Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty.

Harris and Dougherty’s inclusion indicates that the writers behind Bryan Singer’s first X-Men sequel (and Superman Returns) are working on X-Men: Apocalypse, which hits theaters on May 26th, 2016.

The film is expected to be set up in the final scenes of X-Men: Days of Future Past.
