Paramount‘s found-footage thriller WELCOME TO YESTERDAY (previously titled Almanac) is getting bumped from its February 28th release date. Paramount will partner with fellow Viacom banner MTV Films on the film, using the MTV connection to reach the teen and college demographic (the pic’s core audience) and give it a better push. Having a promotional partner in MTV Films will also save costs. The new release date will likely come this summer or fall.

Welcome to Yesterday is an upcoming science fiction film produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller (Platinum Dunes). The film was written by Jason Pagan and Andrew Stark with Dean Israelite serving as director.

Synopsis: “A group of teens discover secret plans of a time machine, and construct one. However, things start to get out of control.”

Sofia Black-D’Elia, Allen Evangelista, Ginny Gardner, Sam Lerner and Jonny Weston star.
