“Star Wars: Episode VII” Shoot Schedule Is Set

Pre-production on Star Wars: Episode VII has been a little bumpy thus far. Principle photography was expected to start last month, the release date was pushed from the summer to the winter, and then screenwriter Michael Arndt was replaced by J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan. However, according to Hit Fix, a schedule is now in place.

Multiple sources report that Star Wars: Episode VII is set to start shooting mid-May and will run through September of this year, and most principal casting on the film is complete, with many announcements still to come. As a fan, I want this thing as soon as possible, but I’m glad that they’re taking their time to hopefully make things as perfect as they can be.

Star Wars: Episode VII will hit theaters on December 18th, 2015.
