Behind The Scenes: The Sound Of “Alien: Isolation”

Sega has released a new developer diary for Creative Assembly’s upcoming survival horror game Alien: Isolation, which focuses specifically on the sound and creating the terrifying atmosphere.

Alien: Isolation is a first-person survival horror experience that “will focus on capturing the tension evoked by Ridley Scott’s 1979 classic film.” We’ll play the game as Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda, as she investigates her mother’s disappearance. The game will take place 15 years after the events in the original Alien.

“Underpowered and underprepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive.”  You won’t be shooting down wave after wave of aliens. Instead, this game features one xenomorph.

Alien: Isolation arrives October 7th on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
