“Ghostbusters 3” Hits Another Bump In The Road?

April 8, 20140 Comments

I can’t recall a film in recent memory that has fought so hard not to get made.

After Harold Ramis’ sudden death last month, Ivan Reitman exited Ghostbusters 3 in favor of producing duties, which then left the studio scrambling to find a new director.

Shortly after, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (21 Jump Street, The Lego Movie) were announced as the new replacement directors. However, it appears that they’ll need a replacement for their replacements.

Jeff Sneider of TheWrap is reporting that the duo will no longer be directing and now Columbia Pictures is scrambling yet again.

From Sneider’s Twitter page, “Hearing LORD & MILLER ended up walking away from GHOSTBUSTERS 3 job. They were the studio’s choice but wanted to keep their options open…”

Everything is not awesome.
