Third “Hobbit” Film May Get A New Title Before Release

April 17, 20140 Comments

TheOneRing.net reports that a reliable source believes the third and final Hobbit film will no longer be called The Hobbit: There and Back Again. So what’s the new title?

“Now, we hear that New Line has registered this further title, The Hobbit: Into the Fire.” What do you think of the possible new title?

Synopsis: The film will possibly begin with Smaug’s attack on Lake-Town and continue with Smaug’s demise, The Battle of Dol Guldur, The Battle of Five Armies, and the return journey. It has also been thought that there will be some sort of skirmish in the ruins of Dale involving Gandalf and Thranduil (and possibly Tauriel).

The film stars Martin Freeman as Bilbo, Ian McKellen as Gandalf the Grey, Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug and the Necromancer, and Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield.

The final Hobbit film will hit theaters on December 17th, 2014.
