Leonardo DiCaprio To Star In New “Steve Jobs” Movie?

Sony Pictures is reportedly eying Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle (28 Days Later) to helm their Steve Jobs biopic, with Leonardo DiCaprio to star.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Boyle and DiCaprio are re-teaming for the film, based on the 2011 best-selling “Steve Jobs” biography by Walter Isaacson. The duo previously worked together on 2000’s The Beach.

The screenplay was written by Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network). David Fincher was originally going to direct, but backed out “due to his aggressive demands for compensation and control,” says THR. Fincher had reportedly wanted Christian Bale to play Steve Jobs. Honestly, I think Bale resembles Jobs more than Leo. Too bad the biopic with the actor who looks strikingly like Jobs, Ashton Kutcher, wasn’t a success.

The latest Jobs biopic doesn’t have a release date yet.
