Paramount’s “Friday The 13th” Reboot Will Be In 3D

Reports coming out of the CineEurope convention is that Paramount Pictures’ upcoming re-reboot of Friday the 13th will be in 3D. They’ve supposedly dropped the found footage gimmick for another one. Time will tell if the film will be shot in 3D or will be post-converted.

Is this a good thing? A bad thing? Time will tell. However, Friday the 13th Part 3 was in 3D and that film is one of my favorites in the series. It could work, but in the end, I’m just looking for a really solid Friday the 13th film so they don’t have to re-re-reboot the film in another couple years.

Director David Bruckner (The Signal, V/H/S) is in talks to helm the new film, but that still hasn’t been confirmed.

“Friday the 13th 3D” will be released by Paramount and Platinum Dunes on November 13th, 2015.
