Director Edgar Wright has traded ants for grasshoppers.

Since departing from Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man due to creative differences, Wright has been searching for his next project which comes in the form of Sony’s GRASSHOPPER JUNGLE. The film is an adaptation of the YA novel by Andrew Smith that hit shelves in February 2014.

Synopsis: In the small town of Ealing, Iowa, Austin and his best friend, Robby, have accidentally unleashed an unstoppable army. An army of horny, hungry, six-foot-tall praying mantises that only want to do two things.

The script is written by Scott Rosenberg (Beautiful Girls).
