Next TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE Film To Follow Leatherface As A Teenager?

Well, it looked like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise was on hiatus after the pretty awful Texas Chainsaw 3D, but it appears that Leatherface will rev his saw again.

According to Bloody Disgusting, Millennium Films and Lionsgate, who released Texas Chainsaw 3D, are in talks to bring the next installment of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre series to theaters.

Texas Chainsaw 3D, released on January 21st, 2013, followed a young woman who travels to Texas to collect an inheritance; little does she know that an encounter with a chainsaw-wielding killer is part of the reward (and her family). The film set up Alexandra Daddario as the daughter of Loretta Sawyer and Leatherface’s (played by Dan Yeager) long-lost cousin.

The film ended with a cliffhanger, setting up a sequel that apparently won’t happen. BD’s sources say an unidentified writer is in talks to pen Leatherface’s “teenage years.” So don’t expect Alexandra Daddario or Dan Yeager to return since the film would act as a prequel.

Is it too late to bring back Andrew Bryniarski and R. Lee Ermey?
