The reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles grossed $93.7M worldwide and Paramount Pictures is moving forward on a sequel. The film made $65M domestically in 3,845 locations, reports Variety.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 will hit theaters on June 3rd, 2016. Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes will return to produce as well as screenwriters Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec (Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol). Currently there is no word if Jonathan Liebsman will return to direct.

Synopsis: “The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.”

The film stars Megan Fox, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, Johnny Knoxville, Tony Shalhoub, and Whoopi Goldberg.
